Police Arrest 2 Suspected Tricycle Thieves In Enugu

The two suspected Keke robbers in Enugu

Police in Enugu State on Sunday, said they have arrested two men, Michael Chikaodiri Okorie, aged [18] and Christian Eze Okorie, aged [19] of Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, for stealing tricycle in Enugu.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu Command, Daniel Ndukwe, said the suspects were arrested on Thursday at Mbanugo, Coal Camp, Enugu, at about 11 a.m., by Police Detectives, serving in Central Police Station (CPS) Enugu, with support from Neighbourhood Watch Group members.

The statement said a suspected stolen yellow-coloured TVC tricycle was recovered from the suspects.

According to the statement, “upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to have been committing the criminal act of stealing in Ebonyi and Enugu States.

“They further confessed to have stolen the recovered tricycle from where it was parked during a wake, and were in the process of selling it before they were apprehended.

The statement explained that the suspects would be arraigned and prosecuted once investigations are concluded.
