Ohanaeze Enugu South Chapter Pays Courtesy Visit To Council Chairman

The apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Enugu South Local Government Area chapter, Monday, paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Caleb Ani.

The delegation, led by the chapter’s Chairman, Ozo Emmanuel Ugwu, congratulated Hon. Ani on his recent electoral victory in the local government polls.

During the visit, Ozo Ugwu thank His Excellency, Governor Peter Mbah, for the giant stride recorded in the state within one and half a year of his administration which Enugu South LG has benefited immensely in every aspect of development.

He reaffirmed the commitment of Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo to the progress and development of Enugu South LGA.

He expressed the group’s dedication to partnering with the council in promoting Igbo culture and values, as well as contributing positively to the council’s overall growth and stability.

Ozo Ugwu extended his appreciation to His Excellency, Senator Jim Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo whom he described as the grand patron and the longest members of the organization in the south east, adding that the Council was blessed to have such an icon in the state and Enugu South LG.

The highlight of the event was the formal decoration of Hon. Caleb Ani as the leader of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo in Enugu South LGA and presentation of customized portrait with Chairman’s picture.

This honorary title recognizes Ani as a significant stakeholder within the organization and underscores his role as a representative of Igbo cultural interests within the council.

In his response, Enugu South Council Chairman, Hon. Caleb Ani, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and members of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo Enugu South chapter for the visit and their support.

He commended the organization for its visible commitment during the electoral campaign, which, he noted, demonstrated the group’s dedication to the welfare of Enugu South and the Igbo community at large.

Hon. Ani pledged to work closely with Ohaneze Ndi Igbo to further their shared objectives for the benefit of the community. He acknowledged the organization’s influential role in promoting unity and development within Enugu South and throughout Enugu State.

Members of the group delegates includes The state State Asst. Secretary Chief Hon. Celestine Nnaji, Former Enugu South LG Chairman Chief Hon. Elijah Ogbe, State Secretary Women’s wing Comrade Florence Ozeh, local government woman leader Hon. Mrs. Lilian Nkeoma Agbo among other members of the executive.
