The Enugu State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Aka Eze Aka, has congratulated Dr. Peter Mbah, on his victory at the Appeal Court in Lagos.

Aka in a statement on Friday in Enugu, said the verdict had shown that Ndi Enugu truly elected Mbah to provide leadership and bring the much anticipated development.

The Appellate Court, in a unanimous decision, dismissed three issues raised by the opposing party.

The three-member panel, led by Justice Tani Yusuf-Hassan, concluded that the Labour Party (LP) and its governorship candidate failed to provide sufficient evidence to prove that Mbah was not qualified to contest the election as well as over voting.

It added that the petitioner did not present any admissible evidence to prove that Mbah’s National Youths Service Corps certificate was forged.

It, therefore, dismissed the appeal for lacking merit, affirming the judgement of the election tribunal, which declared Peter Mbah of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the March 18 governorship election.

This development marks a crucial chapter in the political landscape of Enugu State, as the legal system solidifies the legitimacy of the governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
