Former secretaries of Enugu South Local Government Area, under the Forum led by Hon. Onyekachi Chukwuegbo, on Wednesday, paid a courtesy visit to the council chairman, Hon. Caleb Ani.
The delegation commended the chairman for his performance and pledged their unwavering support for the success of his administration.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Chukwuegbo highlighted the importance of the forum as a reservoir of knowledge and experience, offering to collaborate with the chairman to advance the local government’s development.

He encouraged Hon. Ani to remain steadfast in fulfilling his campaign promises, assuring him of their cooperation and advice when necessary.
The former secretaries emphasized their role as elder statesmen of the council, noting that their extensive experience in governance positioned them as valuable partners to the current administration. The visit, they said, symbolized a commitment to unity, progress, and solidarity within the local government.

In his response, Hon. Caleb Ani expressed gratitude for the show of support, describing it as a significant encouragement to his administration.
He acknowledged the contributions of the former secretaries to the local government and assured them of cooperation and recognition.
Hon. Ani pledged to leave a legacy of progress and development at the end of his tenure.
In attendance were members of the forum which includes Hon. Anthony Onah, Hon. Celestina Nnaji, Hon. Dave Agbo, Hon. Mrs. Joy Nkulume, Hon. Ifeanyi Emma Nnaji, Hon. Smart Ogbodo and Emma Ike Orji.

A minute silence was observed in honour of the departed members, Late Hon. Ogbuefi Emma Okey Nnaji and Late Chief Hon. Jerry Odo Nsude.
Also present at the solidarity visit were the Secretary of the Council, Barr. Kenneth Nnyamah.
