In a bid to have motivated civil servants in the state, the Enugu State government has reiterated its commitment to improve the welfare of workers.
The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Kingsley Udeh, made this promise during an End-of-year party organised for the staff of the Ministry of Justice in Enugu.
Udeh noted that Governor Dr. Peter Mbah, is committed to the capacity development and well-being of workers at all times, stressing that the welfare of workers would continue to be the state government’s priority.
He asked the workers in the ministry to see themselves as brothers and sisters to enable them work together as one strong and indivisible family, and promised to be fair to every staff in the ministry.
The Attorney-General assured them that the state government has a lot of goodies for the civil servants, and urged them to more productivity in their various departments and units.
According to him, the End-of-year party was organised as a way of celebrating and appreciating staff of the ministry for the dedication in the outgoing year, and asked to redouble the efforts in the coming year.
Udeh then appealed to the public to support and be patient with the current administration of Gov. Mbah, who he noted would deliver on his campaign promises to the good people of Enugu State.
The End-of-year party brought together staff of the ministry(Solicitor General and Permanent Secretary, Directors and HODs of different departments who wined and dined together as a family.
Highlights of the event were Christmas songs, drama and cultural activities.
