Development: Soludo Rallies Anambra Indigenes

Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, has called on indigenes of the state to join hands with him to develop the state under Public-Private-Community-Partnership, (PPCP) model.

Soludo stated this during the inauguration of twenty-one kilometers road project at Adazi Ani, Anaocha Council Area, built by Chief Chinedu Benson Madubuko who is an indigene of the Community.

According to the Governor, government at all levels has limited resources, as such, cannot do  development work alone, saying that such gesture by Chief Madubuko for his community is a thing of joy worthy of emulation.

He stressed that the PPCP model is a good way to achieve varying degrees of development in the short term, stating that everyone has a role to play.

The Governor who assured that his administration would continue to play its role, revealed that he has already achieved a lot in less than two years of inception without borrowing, even when he has the approval of the state house to borrow.

He maintained that his administration will borrow under two conditions including borrowing to service a project that can pay itself back or borrowing at the very lowest repayment rate.

Governor Soludo emphasized that APGA is the platform for sustainable development in Anambra state, pointing out that one will be remembered for the good deeds one has done, calling on everyone to do their own bit of keeping the environment clean, say something if they see something, among other civic responsibilities.

For the Transition Committee Chairman, Anaocha Council Area, Chief Gerald Ozoh, the free antenatal care and delivery services, free education and the recruitment exercises of the state government have impacted thousands of households, especially local government areas in the hinterlands, describing the policies of the state government as a display of genuine commitment by Governor Soludo for the masses and appreciated Chief Madubuko for keying into the Governor’s PPCP initiative.

Chief Madubuko lauded the Governor for promoting the concept of PPCP which he said people had started buying into, stating that the Governor’s presence for the inauguration of the project further demonstrated his commitment to encouraging strategic partnerships.

He revealed that the project would foster economic growth, pave way for enhanced connectivity and prosperity in the community, expressing optimism that the roads would serve as a lasting legacy, inspiring ndi Adazi Ani to join the train of PPCP being driven by the Governor.

The Secretary to the State Goverment, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, members representing Anaocha constituencies two, Chief Ejike Okechukwu, among others, attended the event.
