Anaocha TC boss condemns attack of yet to be identified gunmen at Aguluzigbo (See details)

The TC Chairman of Anaocha LGA, Chief Hon Gerald Ikechukwu Ozoh (Mmili Anaocha) has condemned the killing of security agents in Aguluzigbo community by unknown gunmen on Tuesday, November 28,2023.

The unknown gunmen invaded the security office at the town and started shooting sporadically at the officers and people started running to safety but the bullets killed two security officers and injured many of them, affected victims are currently receiving treatment in the hospital.

Ozoh, said that proactive measures will be taken to forestall further occurrences and adequately protect its citizens.

The victims Chinonye Onwuneme and Basil Anazodo died immediately while about eight of them were injured and were taken to hospital.

The Councillor representing Aguluzigbo ward, Hon Mrs Ngozi Asonibe (Oji-Ugo) who was visibly emotional about the incident, expressed shock and deep sadness over the killing of the victims describing it as heartless.

She noted that the officers had families who depended on them for daily survival, and it was unjust that they had to die and injured while serving the community.

Hon Ozoh, Hon Mrs Asonibe and Hon Kenechukwu Aniekwenagbu took time to interact with each of the victims in their hospital beds one after the other and encouraged them not to add the fear but to believe that God Almighty will heal them.
