Update on Nri Youth Assembly Table Tennis Tournament Day 1 (See pictures)

The highly anticipated Nri Youth Assembly table tennis tournament kicked off today Tuesday, the 21st day of May 2024 at 3:00 pm, with the President of Nri Youth Assembly, Comr Nonso Jideobi officially declaring the competition open. The event was held under the watchful eye of the Director of Sports Nri Youth Assembly, Comr Ebuka Charles Okafor, through whose office the tournament was attracted for Nri Youths.

Four teams, from *Uruoji and Ekwenanyika, Obeagu and Uruofolo villages (in Groups A and B respectively), comprising talented young table tennis players, competed in the tournament. Both teams demonstrated exceptional skill and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

The game ended with a narrow victory for *Obeagu team* (3) against *Uruofolo team (2)* whereas *Uruoji team* won a straight five against *Ekwenanyika team

It was a great opportunity to showcase the impressive talent and determination of the young players, with several matches going to the wire.

The youth table tennis tournament is off to an exciting start, with both teams displaying incredible skill and enthusiasm. The competition is expected to intensify as the tournament progresses, and we look forward to witnessing more thrilling matches in the days ahead.

Remember also that the tournament continues tomorrow with Agbadani team going to log it out with *Ekwenanyika team.
