Nri Youth Assembly Hosts Successful Maiden Table Tennis Tournament in style (WATCH VIDEO)

Nri Youth Assembly hosts the grand finale of its maiden table tennis tournament, which saw Uruoji emerge as the champion with an impressive 12 points. The highly anticipated event took place at the Nri City Sports Club, a facility built by the Nri People’s Forum and with the newly donated table tennis board, courtesy of Sir Chinedu Ayika (CNN).

The tournament featured six villages of the town represented by three talented players each, vying for the top spot, with Uruoji dominating the competition from start to finish. Obeagu put up a strong challenge, securing the second position with 7 points, while Uruofolo took the third spot with 6 points.

 

Agbadani and Diodo trailed behind, earning 4 and 3 points respectively, while Ekwenayika finished in sixth place with 0 points.

It could be recalled that the tournament was sponsored by Oba Dr. Clement Nduka (Oba Ikenga), who was greatly acknowledged and appreciated for his contribution to the development of youth in the community. The event was also graced by the presence of the Nri People’s Forum ably represented by Chief Ogochukwu Egolum (Udo Nri) in the company of his wife, Iyom Joy Egolum and Hon. Nnamdi Dueze (Alhaji Dunga) both of whom are also Patrons of Nri Youth Assembly amongst other notable dignitaries.

The Nri Youth Assembly has once again demonstrated its commitment to empowering young people through sports and other activities. The success of this tournament is a testament to the organization’s dedication to fostering a spirit of friendly competition and community development.
