Truck Crushes Two Female Students Of Lokoja Varsity And Kogi Poly To Death

Two students lost their lives in a fatal motor accident in Lokoja, Kogi State.

The accident occurred at about 10 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024.

It was gathered that a heavily loaded articulated vehicle headed towards Abuja axis, lost control along Felele in Lokoja and ran into a tricycle popularly called Keke, that was carrying passengers.

Eyewitnesses said 2 died while the other occupants of the tricycle were seriously injured.

The deceased persons have been identified as Covenant Omolola Isaac, a female student of the Department of Geology, Federal University Lokoja, and Abu Taiwo Abimbola, from the Department of Science Laboratory and Technology Student, Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja.

An identification card belonging to Omolola was recovered from the accident scene.

The bodies of the two female students were deposited at Specialist Hospital, Lokoja, by some officers of the Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC.
