On Thursday, June 6th, 2024, the non-governmental organization Stand Up For Who You Are, led by Obele Daniella, launched its first edition of the Menstrual Hygiene and Healthy Environment campaign at Regal Secondary School in Nri.

Despite operating without financial support from the government, the NGO successfully organized this campaign to educate young girls on the importance of personal hygiene.

This inaugural edition was primarily sponsored by the NGO, with additional support from the Chuks Amaka Obele Support Foundation, the President General of Nri community Oba Romanus Okafor, Chief Chijioke Igboabalu, Comrade Udogadi Umendu, Hon. Anthony Ugorji, Uniquezita, and Aprokorepublic Media.

The program began with a lecture on the importance of personal hygiene for young girls, followed by the distribution of sanitary pads to all participants.

The next edition of the campaign is scheduled for July. If you wish to support this initiative or make further inquiries about the NGO, please contact 07064631905.
