Sisters to former President General of ancient Nri Kingdom joins prestigious Otu Odu Nri (See details).

3rd January 2025 marked a remarkable day in the Obiegbunam family, as two sisters to former president General of Nri Progress Union, Oba Kelvin Obiegbunam (Ochendo) joined the prestigious Otu Odu Society of Ancient Nri Kingdom.

The event held in their country home at Chief Kelvin Obiegbunam residence, Obeagu Village, Nri, and had in attendance dignitaries from all works of life. Members of Oba society of Ancient Nri Kingdom were also in attendance to support one of their own, Chief Kelvin Obiegbunam.

The sisters to former PG of Nri Progress Union, Chief Adaobi Obiegbunam Offor and Chief Chinelo Obiegbunam Ogbonnia-Okoye were initiated into the Otu Odu Nri society as “Iyom Ada no na Obu” and “Iyom Omenwa”, respectively.

Nri is in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anamba State.

Otu Odu Nri society is a highly prestigious society in the Nri community, and only women of noble characters join society.
