Senator Ekwunife hailed as she commissions another road project in Nri (Video)

Former Senator representing Anambra Central senatorial district, distinguished Senator Uche Ekwunife received accolades from the Nri community in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State as she commissioned a road project she facilitated during her tenure as senator.

The event, which marked the completion of the Chief Ochendo Obiegbunam/General Hospital Nri road, drew admiration for Ekwunife’s dedication to public service. Described as a humanitarian above a politician, Ekwunife’s commitment to community welfare shone through as she ensured the project’s completion despite no longer holding office.

Community leaders lauded her altruism, with past President General Oba Kelvin Obiegbunam who attracted the project during his term as PG of the community and current President General Oba Romanus Okafor praising her as a beacon of service to humanity.
The Regent of Nri, Prince Ikenna Onyesoh, also graced the occasion, underscoring the significance of Ekwunife’s contribution.

Notable dignitaries, including the youth president, Comrade Nonso Jideobi, Chief Felix Oli, Chief Sylvester Odogwu, Chief Ogochukwu Egolum, Chief Clem Ifezue, Chief Uzo Oli, Chief Martin Onuorah, Chief Chibuzor Oli, Chief Eddy Onuorah, Chief Chukwudi Ike, Chief Fabian Okafor, and Barrister Chukwudi Oli, among others, joined in celebrating the milestone.

The event culminated in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony by Senator Ekwunife, symbolizing the community’s gratitude for her unwavering dedication.

Ekwunife, currently serving as the Director General of the South East Governors Forum, continues to leave a lasting impact on the communities she serves.
