Senator Uche Ekwunife, has described the passing of veteran Nollywood actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu as devastating, very hard to bear, and great loss to Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Mr Ibu passed away on Saturday after a long battle with an ailment.
Ekwunife disclosed this while reacting to a statement released by President Actor’s Guild of Nigeria (AGN). Emeka Rollas who confirmed that the actor suffered cardiac arrest on Saturday March 2nd, as reported by the deceased manager.
Ekwunife expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family, Nollywood and Nigerians generally, noting that Mr Ibu was one of a kind who’s comic gestures on-screen comes with unique show of humor, lots of fun and thrilling moments for his teeming fans and admirers.
She prayed God to grant the Nollywood movie star eternal rest, and give his family and loved ones the courage to bear the irreparable loss.
