President Tinubu Returns To Nigeria From Tanzania

President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja following his attendance at the Africa Heads of State Energy Summit in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

The President and his entourage landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at about 7:40 pm Tuesday.

He was received by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, and the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, among other government officials.

The summit, organized by the Tanzanian government in partnership with the African Development Bank Group and the World Bank, is focused on advancing “Mission 300,” an initiative aimed at providing electricity access to 300 million people in Africa by 2030, according to Onanuga.

The discussions centred on expanding energy access in underserved areas, promoting renewable energy, improving energy efficiency, and attracting private sector investment.

President Tinubu was accompanied on the trip by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Minister of Power Adebayo Adelabu, Special Adviser to the President on Energy Olu Verheijen, and other senior government officials.
