[PHOTOS] Ani Inspects Ongoing Development Projects In Enugu South Council Area

Executive Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Caleb Ani, has embarked on inspections of ongoing development projects in the LGA.

This, he said, aligned with his administration’s commitment to fulfilling campaign promises, particularly in road infrastructure, aimed at improving accessibility and connectivity among communities.

The projects inspected include the construction of Moses Ogbodo Street, Onu Orie, and Ubaka Street in Achara Layout, as well as a four-cell box culvert at Ayo River.

Other key projects includes the construction of the 2km Amechi-Uno/Obeagu-Uno–Akegbe Ugwu Road and the Amechi-Uno – Amodu – Obuoffia link road, which features a two-cell box culvert at Owo River. These roads are expected to ease transportation challenges and facilitate economic activities in the affected areas.

During the inspection, Hon. Ani, alongside principal officers of the council assessed the quality of work being done.

The project consultant, Engr. Emma Ngwu, assured the Chairman that the work is progressing as planned and would be completed in due time as planned. Engr. Okey Agbo, overseeing the Amechi-Uno/Obeagu-Uno–Akegbe Ugwu link road, reiterated the contractors’ commitment to delivering quality infrastructure, including proper drainage systems.

Similarly, Mr. Chukwuebuka Egbo of Favour Pathfinder Constructions, handling the Amechi-Uno -Amodu -Obuoffia link road, pledged to complete the project efficiently and on schedule time.

Hon. Ani commended the engineers and contractors for their dedication and urged them to adhere strictly to project specifications and being conscious of time to deliver.

He reassured them of the government’s continuous support to ensure the timely completion of the projects.

The chairman emphasized that infrastructural development remains a top priority of his administration, as it plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life of the residents.

Community leaders and residents of the areas expressed their gratitude for the chairman’s commitment to development.

Speaking on behalf of the Orie Agbaoruo General Assembly in Amechi Uwani, Ozo Chukwu Nwigwe lauded Hon. Ani for fulfilling long-standing promises that had been neglected by previous administrations, he offered a prayer to the Chairman asking God’s Grace upon him to do more for the people.

At Amechi Uno the stakeholders of the community and women, led by HRH Igwe Daniel Nnamani, also commended the chairman for prioritizing road infrastructure, especially for the women who rely on these roads to go for farming and trade. They sing and chant in appreciation for the giant stride of Hon Ani’s adminstration.

The inspection team includes Deputy Chairman Hon. Tony Egbo, Council Secretary Barr. Kenneth Nnyammah, Town Engineer Engr. Philip Chukwuani, PRS Mrs. Agatha Okike, and other key stakeholders.
