Immediate past president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu, has handed over the reigns of power to the newly elected president general, Senator John Azuta Mbata.
The handing over ceremony took place at the Ohanaeze secretariat, 7 Park Avenue, GRA, Enugu on Wednesday.
The ceremony was witnessed by Ohanaeze chieftains, including the former PG, Prof. Enwo Iga-Igariwey; the former President of Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), Okechukwu Nwadinobi, as well as former Anambra State Deputy Governor Emeka Sibeudu, who is now the Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.
Mbata and his executive inspected the facilities at the secretariat with a view to improving the infrastructure on ground.
Addressing newsmen, Ohanaeze Ndigbo’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ezechi Chukwu, announced that the new executive would formally meet tomorrow as yesterday’s meeting was just to hand over to the new executive.
