Nri Progress Union Welcomes New Executives in Official Inauguration (See Video)

Yesterday, February 17th, marked the official commencement of the new administration of the Nri Progress Union, under the leadership of Oba Sir Romanus Okafor.

Following the general election held on January 4th, 2024, the union welcomed its new leadership, who were inaugurated yesterday to oversee the affairs of the union.

In his handover speech, the outgoing President General, Oba Kelvin Obiegbunam, expressed his commitment to supporting the new executives and ensuring the progress of the town. He emphasized his continued availability to assist whenever needed, urging the new PG to reach out to him for guidance and support.

The newly appointed President of the union, Oba Romanus Okafor, extended gratitude to his predecessor while appealing to all community members for their utmost cooperation in advancing the town’s interests.

The inauguration ceremony took place at Nri Unity Hall.

Nri, located in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, stands as one of Nigeria’s oldest kingdoms, revered as the ancestral home from which all Igbos originated.
