Nri: Otu Odu Nri Pays Final Tribute to Iyom Margaret Nwagwu (Watch Video)



Otu Odu Nri, a revered society hailing from the ancient Nri kingdom, gathered on Friday, February 8th, and Saturday, February 9th, 2024, to bid farewell to their esteemed member, the late Iyom Margaret Nwagwu (Stainless), as she was laid to rest in Nri, Anambra State.

Renowned as the highest traditional society for women in Nri town, the Otu Odu Society holds equal status with the titled men of the kingdom and actively participates in community decision-making processes.


Nri kingdom, nestled in Anaocha Local Government area of Anambra State, serves as the guardian of Igbo customs and traditions.

The late Iyom Margaret Nwagwu (Stainless) was a dedicated member of Otu Odu Nri until her passing, and fellow society members gathered in solemn tribute to honor her memory.
