Nri: Check out the Full details of new executives of NPU

Nri kingdom in anaocha Local Government area of Anambra state, on the 4th January 2024, had their general election to elect new officers of the town union.

The election saw a huge turnout of indigenes of the town who came to vote in their preferred candidates to fill up the positions.

The election was free, fair and regarded as the town most credible election so far even with the large turnout of voters.

The election was held at the town hall, Eke market square, Nri, the chairman of the Electoral committee, Chief Sylvester Odogwu left no stone unturned as he made sure people’s candidates was elected in a free and fair election.

The post of the president, Vice president, secretary and assistant secretary was contested while other post was unopposed.

Below is the run down of the election and the new officers.

President NPU – Oba. Sir. Romanus Okafor – 573 (Winner )
Chief Moses Enujiugha – 558

Vice President  –  Hon. Chief Chibuzo Okoye-Oli – 757 (Winner)
Chief Innocent Ikeagu – 231
Mr John Jideobi – 61

Secretary  –  Mr Akonam Amaechina – 520 (Winner)
Mr Luke Ogudo – 190
Mr Anthony Akunne – 130

Asst. Secretary.  –  Dr Christain Obinwa – 500 (Winner)
Mr. Uwadiegwu Ugo Sam – 200

The post for PRO and Welfare officer was zone to Obeagu and Agbadani, Sir Emeka Ezebuilo was picked.

Legal adviser – Uruoji to Nominate somebody for the position.

Treasurer – Mr Emeka Ejikeme from Agbadani Village.

Financial Secretary – Uruofolo village, yet to bring in candidate to fill up the post.
