Hon Caleb Ani, Monday, assumed office as the Executive Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area, following his swearing in.
Recall that, Hon. Ani and 16 others elected during the September 21st council elections in the state were inaugurated and sworn in by Governor Peter Mbah at the Exco Chambers, Government House, Enugu, where he charged them to hit the ground running, and deliver people-centered projects and programmes in line with their campaign promises.
Ani while taking over the reins of leadership from the Director of Personnel Management (DPM) Mrs. Oby Chinene, at the council headquarters, promised to run an all-inclusive governance that would make the area a land where prosperity, peace, unity and equity would thrive.
He also said his government would place high premium on human capital development, education, agriculture, rural development, infrastructure and good governance to transform Enugu South and make it a destination for business, while promising to key into the programmes of the state government to empower the grassroots.
According to him “It is time for work, it’s going to be business unusual.
He called for the support of all the residents, pointing out that the all-inclusive policy of his administration has come to stay. “We have to leave our doors open, especially for people with experience and ensure even development,” he stated.
The Council Chairman thanked stakeholders, supporters, campaign organization, members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for their unalloyed support and commitment to ensuring quality service delivery to the people of Enugu South.
He equally thanked the Governor, Dr Peter Mbah, former governor of old Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo, for their encouragements and advise, as well as the people of Enugu South for their roles in his election.
