Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has reinstated the traditional ruler of Ishi-Ozalla autonomous community in Nkanu West Local Government Area, Igwe Sylvanus Amachiunam Okeke, who was suspended in 2022.
Presenting the reinstatement letter to the monarch on behalf of the Governor, the Enugu State Commissioner for Local Government, Rural Development and Cheiftaincy Affairs, Deacon Okey Ogbodo, said the reinstatement took effect from 31st March, 2024.
He called on the traditional ruler to unite his people and dedicate himself to the development of the community.
Responding, Igwe Sylvanus Amachiunam Okeke, who recalled his suspension in 2022 expressed appreciation to Governor Peter Mbah for lifting his suspension.
He said, “I am at the Ministry to sign and collect letter of my reinstatement as approved by the Governor. I am so happy with the good gesture.”
He promised to continue to support the government of Dr. Peter Mbah and align with his vision to transform Enugu .
