Football Tournament: Enugu South Council Boss Presents Kits To Coaches

The Executive Chairman of Enugu South Council Area, Hon. Caleb Ani, Monday, presented sports materials to the coaches of the 13 political wards in the council for the 2024 football tournament.

The teams will be participating in the tournament expected to commence on Monday, December 9, 2024 at the council headquarters, Uwani.

The Uwani West Ward 4 and Uwani East Ward 5, will kick off the tournament at Ngwo Park football field at 4:00pm.

The Chairman expressed satisfaction with the efforts put in place during the planning by the central organising committee resulting in a successful kick off of the tournament.

He applauded his SPA on Youths and Sport, Hon. Edennamani Noble Chijioke, and his committee, ward councillors and the officials for their unwavering efforts to achieve a memorable and successful tournament.

He urged the committee members to keep the flag of the tournament high by publicizing the game in their wards and different platforms.

He advised them to engage the stakeholders of the wards, women leaders, the youth and members of party as the tournament was made to
foster teamwork, discipline, healthy rivalry and rapport among the young and old.

In his response, the committee chairman,
Hon. Edennamani Noble Chijioke, thanked the council chairman for sponsoring the tournament, adding that the material would go a long way to encouraging the team as they engaged in the tournament.

He further assured the Chairman of the readiness of the committee and officials to achieve great success.

Some materials and kits presented includes set of jersey shirts for the players, goalkeeper’s kits and Balls.

Present at the event are members of central Organising committee, match officials, Councillors of different wards.
