The Executive Chairman of Enugu South Council Area of Enugu State, Hon. Caleb Ani, Thursday, received on a solidarity visit, former chairmen of the Council.
The delegation, led by Deacon Dr. Steve Ike Ngwu, the first Executive Chairman of the Council, said they were in his office to congratulate him on his victory in the recently concluded elections.
Dr. Ngwu emphasized the significance of Hon. Ani’s victory, stating that it was an opportunity to bring impactful changes to Enugu South.
He encouraged the chairman to remain steadfast in fulfilling the promises made during electioneering, assuring him of their cooporation.
Ngwu expressed confidence in Ani to surpass the achievements of previous administrations.
The former chairmen then expressed their readiness to provide advice and support whenever needed, describing their visit as a gesture of elder statesmanship and solidarity.
They encouraged Hon. Ani to see himself as an automatic member of their forum, who, in the future, would guide and support others.
The chairman, in his response, thanked the former council chairmen for their visit, and encouragement to his administration.
Ani pledged to consult them regularly for advice and guidance.
Acknowledging their wealth of experience, Ani emphasized his commitment to working tirelessly to meet the expectations of the people of Enugu South.
The delegation included prominent members such as Dr. Barr. Sam Onyia, Hon. Sam Ngene, Chief Charles Nwabueze, Chief Chiene I. Chiene, Chief Emma Okenwa, Hon. Uche Edeh, Hon. Peter Nnaji, and Hon. Monday Eneh.
Their visit was marked by a shared resolve to ensure the continued progress and development of Enugu South Local Government Area.
