Ex-Enugu South Council Secretary Announces Date For Late Father’s Burial

A  Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, and former Secretary, Enugu South Local Government Area, Hon. Smart Ogbodo, has concluded arrangements for the burial of his father, Ozo Ogbodoede John Okafor, who died on Sept. 13.

Okafor held traditional title of Ojinma Egbuaku of Umu Ogbodoechime, Umuewoukwu Umunnajingene Ugwuaji Awkunanaw, before his death.

According to the burial programme released by his son, on Monday, Nov. 21, a wake would be held at his country house, Ugwuaji Awkunanaw, Nkwo market by Ugwuaji flyover, Enugu South Council Area.

“On Thursday, November 14, 2024 at 9am, his body leaves the Eastern Nigeria Medical Centre mortuary, Enugu for his house, Ugwuaji Awkunanaw where he would be laid in state and a funeral service conducted as well as interment.

“Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, condolence visits continue, while on Sunday, Nov. 17, thanksgiving service at Christ Double Honour Church”.

Ozo Ogbodoede John Okafor, was a family builder with good heart, and impeccable character, who was very conscious of human development and well-being.
