Enugu South PDP Executive Visits Council Boss, Pledges To Sustain Party Unity

The leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Enugu South Local Government Area, led by its Chairman, Hon. Freedom Nnam, paid a solidarity visit to the Executive Chairman of the council, Hon. Caleb Ani.

The visit, which included the four principal officers of the party, 13 Ward Chairmen, and other stakeholders, aimed to affirm their commitment to the progress and unity of the party in the LGA.

Speaking during the visit, Hon. Freedom Nnam thanked Hon. Caleb Ani for granting the audience and allowing the party leadership to reaffirm their support.

He assured the Chairman of the party’s commitment to align with the directives of the council leadership, which are consistent with the state party’s programs and policies.

Nnam further emphasized the need for unity among all organs of the party, including the Ward Chairmen, youth wing, women wing, and stakeholders, to advance the party’s goals.

As part of the solidarity gesture, the Ward Chairmen presented a symbolic gift to Hon. Caleb Ani—a portrait—signifying their collective support for his administration.

The presentation, according to the party hierarchy, was a demonstration of their dedication to strengthening the council under the Chairman’s leadership.

In response, Hon. Caleb Ani described the meeting as a consolidation of efforts towards the growth of the party.

He expressed gratitude to the party leadership, particularly Hon. Freedom Nnam, for their dedication and encouragement.

Ani, a former Ward executive member, also appealed to all party members to maintain their cooperation, stressing that teamwork remains critical to the council’s advancement and unity.

The event was attended by key figures, including the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Anthony Egbo, Leader of the Legislative Arm, Hon. John Okechukwu Egbo, and the Secretary of the Council, Barr. Kenneth Nnyamah.

The meeting underscored the collective resolve to move the PDP and the council forward with a united front.
