Enugu South Council Chairman Hails Governor Mbah Over Leadership Newspaper Award

The Executive Chairman of Enugu South Council Area, Hon. Caleb Ani, has congratulated Governor Peter Mbah, for bagging the Leadership Newspaper 2024 Governor of the Year Award.

Hon. Ani described the award as a well-deserved acknowledgment of the Governor’s transformative leadership and commitment to the development and welfare of the state.

The Chairman in a statement made available to newsmen in Enugu on Monday, praised Governor Mbah for several key achievements in Enugu South Local Government. These include the reconstruction of long-neglected roads in Idaw River Layout, Odudukoko Road off Ebony Paint Road, and St. Peter’s Catholic Church Road by Garriki.

The Chairman also highlighted the Governor’s Smart School initiative, the ongoing construction of the ultramodern bus terminal at Garriki, and improvements in healthcare infrastructure, all of which have significantly enhanced the lives of residents.

“This award is a well-deserved recognition of Governor Mbah’s dedication to good governance and his unwavering focus on delivering real results for the people of Enugu,” Hon. Ani stated.

He emphasized that residents of Enugu South had directly benefited from the Governor’s efforts and expressed confidence in the continued progress of the state under his leadership.

Hon. Ani further noted the competitive nature of the Leadership Newspaper award, underscoring the significance of Governor Mbah’s achievement.

He expressed pride in the Governor’s success and reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to collaborating with the state government to advance its development agenda and secure a prosperous future for all.
