Enugu South Council Boss Congratulates Gov Mbah’s Wife On Most Outstanding First Lady of The Year Award

The Executive chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area, Hon. Caleb Ani, has congratulated the wife of Enugu State Governor, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, on winning three prestigious Awards.

Ani said the recognition was greatly influenced by her determination and commitment towards the health and wellbeing of Enugu women and children.

He expressed his warmest congratulations on behalf of the people of Enugu South LGA.

Recall that Mrs. Mbah recently won “MOST OUTSTANDING FIRST LADY OF THE YEAR”

“PEOPLE’S CHOICE OF THE YEAR”

The council chairman described the recognitions as well deserved and victory for Ndị Enugwu.

He described Mrs Mbah as a special gift to the state and a pillar of support for her husband, Governor Peter Mbah, in his efforts to reposition Enugu.

The chairman in a statement noted that Mrs Mbah is presently making greater impact through her pet project, the Custos Care Foundation, aimed at boosting government’s effort to eradicate maternal and infant mortality from the state.

The first lady through the “Mama Care” Initiative, recently doled out financial supports and foodstuffs to the expectant mothers drawn from the 17 local government areas of the state, ensuring that 100 women from each L.G.A have access to comprehensive healthcare services, which includes not only antenatal care but also the safe and supervised conditions necessary for delivery in hospitals and healthcare centres.

Hon. Ani  prayed God to sustain her tireless efforts and commitment to the welfare of Enugu people.
