Enugu Monthly Clean-up Exercise Holds Saturday

The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) wishes to inform the general public that this month’s clean-up exercise will hold on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 7 o’clock to 10 in the morning.

This is contained in a statement issued by the SPA to Governor Peter Mbah on Wastes, Andreas Gebauer, and made available to newsmen in Enugu on Wednesday.

He said, ‘as we step into the period of Easter Celebration, the Authority expects Ndi Enugu to be patriotic in cleaning their surroundings, even though there won’t be enforcement exercise.

The government enjoins those that engage in sporting activities around the Okpara Square and any other location within the metropolis to postpone their sporting activities and join the clean up exercise.

Meanwhile, the Authority appeals to the general public to bag their wastes properly before disposal and ensure they pay their ESWAMA bills at any commercial bank closer to them.

The statement urges residents not to pay cash to anybody or to any agent.
