The Enugu State Government has commended the Federal Government for the construction of Makurdi – Enugu road project.
The commendation is contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Aka Eze Aka.
Recall that the FG on Thursday, 25 January, 2024 flagged-off construction of the dual 260km road.
The work followed the approval of the project and other numerous road projects across the country, by president Ahmed Tinubu.
While we commending the Federal Government for the project, Aka noted that it was important to highlight that approval was made possible due to the cordial relationship between the Enugu State Government and the federal government.
“Enugu State is grateful that the federal government prioritized the roads. The project when completed would add to effort to boost the economy of the state and grow Enugu’s economy from a GDP of $4. 4bn to $30b within 4-8 years.
He maintained that the State Government was determined to continue to forge workable and progressive partnership with the FG to build conducive environment for business and high returns on investment.
