Enugu Govt Invites Citizens To A One Day Engagement Meeting On 2024 Budget
The Enugu State Government through the Ministry of Budget and Planning is inviting citizens to a 1—Day Citizens’ Engagement Meeting on the 2024 Budget on Saturday, 2nd December, 2023 at Nike Lake Hotel, Enugu at 10.00am.
The invitation is contained in a statement issued on Friday by the Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Chris Robert Ozongwu.
According to the Commissioner, public participation is key element of transparent and accountable budget process that allows the citizens to make choices as to which projects and services to undertake within a fiscal year.
In this regard, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr Peter Mbah, in tune with best global practices that support greater transparency in budget system has graciously approved that the Ministry of Budget and Planning organize Citizens Engagement Meeting for the 2024 budget.
