Enugu Govt Brings Christmas Joy To Children At Grassroots With ‘Santa Storm’

In partnership with Omu Resort and the Office of the First Lady, the Enugu State Government spread joy to children down to the grassroots, in the 17 local government areas of the state with the Santa Storm Initiative.

The launch event, held at the FSP Children’s Center in Enugu on Saturday, celebrated community spirit, generosity, and holiday cheer.

The “Santa Storm” initiative is a unique collaboration aimed at extending the spirit of Christmas to every corner of Enugu State. By reaching out to communities at the grassroots, the initiative has ensured that the festive season is not just celebrated in urban centers but is felt deeply across rural areas.

The launch event was graced by the Enugu First Lady, Mrs Nkechinyere Mbah, whose office played a pivotal role in supporting the initiative. The highlight of the day was the deployment of 100 Santas who set out from the FSP Center to the 17 local government areas of the state. The mission was to spread joy, distribute gifts, and touch lives at the grassroots level.

Children were particularly thrilled by the sight of the Santas, who brought with them not only gifts but also a sense of excitement and wonder.

As the Santas made their way through the 17 local governments, they were met with warm receptions and appreciation from community members. For many, the initiative provided a rare opportunity to experience the magic of Christmas firsthand.
