As the ongoing spat between Senator Uche Ekwunife and Governor Charles Soludo continues to dominate public discourse, a Facebook user has stepped forward to analyse the recently released speech by the First Lady of Anambra State.

In the lengthy statement, Mrs Nonye Soludo sought to clarify her position on a viral video earlier shared by Senator Ekwunife. Many who have been following the saga will recall that the dispute between the governor and the APC’s deputy governorship candidate has intensified in recent weeks — and now the governor’s wife has publicly responded in an effort to defend herself.

Kingsley Ubani, the Facebook user in question, dissected the First Lady’s press release, which he titled “My Shovel on Digging Through the 973-Word Address of Nonye Soludo to Senator Uche Ekwunife.”

Below are some highlights from Ubani’s analysis of the First Lady’s address.

Today, my shovel will be digging through the 973 worded address of Nonye Soludo to Senator Uche Ekwunife. Enjoy! – KINGSLEY UBANI

  •  1. My weapons are decency, character, and grace. I am a long-distance runner, and I welcome you to the marathon – Nonye Soludo.

Long-distance runner? As in Usain Bolt abi Chioma Ajunwa? That’s wonderful, Your Excellency!
However ma, your stated decency, character and grace have failed to transform the man you share a room with. Your husband shows no decency, no character and zero grace in his public disposition. He insults and abuses our elites without decorum or reservations.
Your Excellency, you may need to go back and re-examine the quality of your decency, character and grace. If it cannot transform your husband, it may not be original, perhaps, it was made in Dubai-Taiwan!

  • 2. I have been a professional and entrepreneur all my adult life—running my own companies in Nigeria and abroad – Nonye Soludo

Yet you and your husband did not find it worthy to establish even a toothpick factory to curb unemployment in Anambra state. No wonder you both do not care about the state of insecurity in the state. Ekwunife, the woman you are challenging has established several businesses in Anambra employing hundreds directly and thousands indirectly.
Your Excellency, your companies are abroad and in some parts of Nigeria, but not in Anambra because neither you nor your husband care that much about our state.

  • 3. I challenge you, Uche Ekwunife, for us to subject our children to paternity tests. Science has made life easy and there are things you cannot lie about nowadays. To avoid any stories in Nigerian hospitals, let us do it in three reputable hospitals in London – Nonye Soludo

Haba, Your Excellency, Why reputable hospitals in London? So you and your husband cannot build a hospital in Anambra where there will be no stories?
Your husband promised us Dubai-Taiwan but here you are after three years in office unable to build or equip any hospital in the state for this your challenge? So, some of us who cannot travel to London for our medical needs deserve to face the “stories in Nigerian hospitals” as you put it, and die in it!

  • 4. In my 55 years on planet earth, I have known ONLY ONE MAN, Chukwuma Soludo. I married him as a virgin and my fidelity to him in 33 years of marriage and for life is ironclad – Nonye Soludo

Haaaabaaaaa, Your Excellency. Okwu juru m onu. But before I commence let me say a stanza of the Litany of the Blessed Virgin Mary for her intercession, as this is a virginity issue.

Virgin most prudent,
pray for us.
Virgin most venerable,
pray for us.
Virgin most renowned.
pray for us.

Back to the matter, Her Excellency, virginity issue in political discourse is a record. You’ve set a record, Indeed!
However, in my opinion, this information is the most private information to ever be made public. Of what use is this information to Ndi Anambra. Can your virginity address the insecurity challenges in our state? No. Can it improve the state of our economy and provide employment to our teeming unemployed youths? No.
What political, social or economic problems can virginity solve? None to my knowledge!
More so, this claim of yours cannot be verified and should not have surfaced in the public in the first place.
