The Executive Chairman of Udenu Council Area of Enugu State, Aka Eze Aka, on Wednesday received the new Leader of the Legislative Council, Patrick Ogbonna Ugwu, representing Amala ward.
The Leader and the Principal Officers were received by Aka during a courtesy visit at his office in Obollo Afor.
The Chairman congratulated Ugwu on his election as the new Leader of the council.
He promised to work with him in upholding the principle of separation of powers, which remains the bedrock of democracy.


He also solicited continuous support from the legislative arm for speedy consideration and passage of bills that would see to the implementation of the numerous programmes of his administration in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
The LG boss advised the new Leader to be a team player and see his election as an avenue to strengthen the cordial relationship between the legislative and executive arms of government in the interest of the public.
It would be recalled that Ugwu, emerged as the Leader of the legislative council on Tuesday, following the impeachment of his predecessor, Nnamdi Odo, representing Obollo Afor ward.
