Time for a New Dawn in Anambra

Published

on

Anambra stands at a crossroads once again. The promise of transformation that once filled the air in 2021 has faded into disillusionment. The people believed Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo when he came preaching a “Solution Agenda.” They expected innovation, progress, and safety. But what have Ndi Anambra received instead? Insecurity, silence, and a growing sense of abandonment.

Travel through our communities today Ihiala, Ogbaru, Orumba, Aguata, even the outskirts of Awka and you’ll hear one complaint echo everywhere: “We don’t feel safe anymore.” Gunmen terrorize our roads, businesses struggle to breathe, and hope slowly fades. The Soludo administration came with high expectations, but two years on, it is clear the governor has lost touch with the realities of the people.

This is why the coming November 8 governorship election must not be another routine exercise. It must be a turning point. Ndi Anambra must choose competence over arrogance, performance over propaganda, and empathy over ego. And that is why the All Progressives Congress (APC), led by Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and his running mate, Senator Uche Ekwunife, offers the credible alternative that this state desperately needs.

The APC manifesto is not just a collection of promises; it is a practical roadmap to rebuild Anambra from the ground up. It envisions a secure, prosperous, and united state—one that values human life and economic growth above politics and noise. It places priority on security, infrastructure, agriculture, education, youth empowerment, and industrialisation. It recognises that no investor will come to a state where bandits rule the night and fear stalks the day.

Under the APC plan, local security will be strengthened with technology-driven surveillance, community policing, and proper coordination with federal security agencies. Economic empowerment will be real, not a talking point. The party’s agenda focuses on building functional industrial clusters across the three senatorial zones—so that job creation becomes a sustainable reality, not a campaign slogan.

Agriculture will no longer be treated as a photo opportunity. The APC plans to empower farmers through cooperatives, modern equipment, and access to credit, making Anambra a major food-producing state once again. Our schools will receive attention, teachers will be trained and motivated, and young people will find opportunities in innovation and enterprise.

At the heart of this movement is Senator Uche Ekwunife, a name synonymous with results. For years, she has shown that leadership is not about noise but about impact. As a senator, she attracted projects that touched real lives—roads, schools, and healthcare initiatives that spoke for themselves. She is fearless, focused, and accessible. Her partnership with Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu brings both administrative experience and political maturity to the table. Together, they embody a balance of vision and execution that Anambra has lacked in recent years.

Contrast that with what we have today. Soludo has become a governor of theories, not realities. He speaks in economic jargon while the people cry for bread. His government has been long on speeches but short on substance. Roads remain death traps while those constructed are below standard. Civil servants grumble in silence. The much-talked-about “Smart Mega City” remains a mirage. Even the Vision 2070, which he helped to draft before becoming governor, has disappeared from his radar.

Worse still, insecurity has worsened under his watch. Communities that once bustled with trade and laughter now live in fear. The governor’s response? Dismissive rhetoric and endless excuses. Governance cannot thrive where the people are afraid. Development cannot happen where bloodshed dominates the headlines.

The APC is offering Ndi Anambra something different. Hope anchored on accountability and commitment. Ukachukwu and Ekwunife are not promising miracles; they are promising work. They are promising visibility, communication, and collaboration. They are promising a government that listens to its people and measures success not by grand speeches but by the comfort of ordinary citizens.

Anambra cannot afford another four years of trial and error. The state needs leaders who can match words with action, who can partner with the federal government for real projects, and who understand that governance is service, not showmanship. Soludo’s academic brilliance is not in doubt, but leadership requires more than theories—it demands empathy, consistency, and results.

November 8 is a date with destiny. Ndi Anambra must decide whether to continue on a path of failed promises or embrace a new dawn of progress and unity. Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife represent that new dawn. They stand for inclusion, equity, and tangible growth. They understand the people’s pain and have the experience to deliver solutions that work, not just slogans that fade after elections.

The message is simple: Anambra deserves better. The APC ticket offers a future rooted in stability, innovation, and prosperity. Let the noise-makers step aside. Let the dreamers of empty dreams retire. It is time to bring back governance that works for farmers, traders, students, civil servants, for all Ndi Anambra.

A vote for APC is a vote for security. A vote for APC is a vote for accountability. A vote for APC is a vote for a brighter tomorrow.

November 8 is not just an election; it is a rescue mission. Let’s take back Anambra. Let’s choose progress. Let’s choose Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Uche Ekwunife.

Because Anambra’s tomorrow begins now.
