Why Anambra Must Align With The Centre

Published

Chief Obafemi Awolowo once said, “Politics is not about isolation; it’s about connection and partnership.”

Those words ring louder than ever for us in Anambra today.

For years, our dear state has stood proud — a land of brilliant minds, hardworking traders, and some of the most resourceful people in Nigeria. But even with all our strength, one truth remains: development moves faster when there is understanding and connection between the state and the federal government.

That’s exactly what it means to “Align with the centre.” It’s not about blind loyalty; it’s about smart politics — politics that deliver real results, real roads, real jobs, and real progress.

Today, Anambra has that opportunity. Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and Senator Dr. Uche Ekwunife represent a powerful bridge — a dynamic team that can open the doors of Abuja to Anambra’s needs.

With them in the All Progressives Congress (APC), our state will no longer shout from the sidelines. Anambra’s voice will be heard clearly at the table where Nigeria’s biggest decisions are made.

For too long, we’ve watched other states enjoy federal projects, special funds, and development partnerships — not because they’re better than us, but because they’re better connected. We can’t keep standing aside while others move ahead. The time for isolation is over.

Ukachukwu brings business vision, structure, and a track record of results. He knows how to turn opportunities into action. Ekwunife adds political strength, national reach, and the people’s touch. Together, they are the connection between Anambra’s dreams and the federal system that drives national growth.

Aligning with the centre doesn’t mean losing our identity — it means unlocking our full potential. It means more federal roads, stronger industries, better schools, and a stronger Anambra presence at the heart of Nigeria’s development.

It’s time for Anambra to think big. It’s time to connect, not stand aside.
The world thrives on connection — and so does development.
