The atmosphere was replete with recounting memories of the live and times of Mrs Patricia Mogo Ukachukwu (nee Ezeonyekwere), the matriarch of the Ukachukwu family who passed onto glory at age 93.
The occasion witnessed massive attendance of friends, well wishers and relatives come form far and wife to pay their last respect to a woman of valour and virtue.
The burial programme titled,” Gratitude,” showcased the legacy lifestyle of Mother Patricia Ukachukwu who raise her children in the path of righteousness.
She was a hardworking woman who dealt on several legitimate business including, honey, mats, plan kernel oil, baskets etc to raise and care for her family.
Her children and grandchildren took turns to express their profound love with heartwarming tributes and memories of times shared.
Speaking to journalists, ljele Ego said her grandmother was an epitome of grace, peace and quiet joy. She would ensure unity and harmony amongst the children.
On his part, Mr Adim Williams eulogise the matriarch as an epitome of love and compassion. According to him, her legacy of kindness is a motivating model that runs in the family line.
The programme took place in the family country home in Orsumenyi and had dignitaries, professionals, businessmen and women, political office holders in attendance.
Ma Ukachukwu played vital roles in community development and was an active member of her church, Christ Holy Church, Odozi Obodo. Despite her quiet and peaceful nature, she was a very social and humorous woman.
As the family writes, ” those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us.” We pray the Lord to give Mama rest in his bosom, amen
