….As Fr. Izunna frowned at govt neglect.

At 60, St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital continues to be a shining light, demonstrating an unwavering example in health care delivery in sub-saharan Africa, thereby gaining global recognition in the standard of quality health care delivery.
The Archbishop of Onitsha, and the Proprietor of the Hospital, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, officiated at the grand finale Mass that was attended, by many Priests, Religious, Traditional Rulers, Politicians, and Captains of Industry. During his powerful and inspiring homily, he recounted blessings of God to humanity through the hospital, appreciated past and present staff of the hospital, and encouraged them to do more.
The hospital CEO, Rev. Fr. Dr. Izunna Okonkwo, who is also the chairman and president of the Hospital’s Management team of St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital, during his vote of thanks at the 60th diamond jubilee celebration prays:
“With a joyful heart. We thank God for all the good things that have happened to many people over the past 60 years of our hospital’s existence, to this day. We thank God for those who have worked in this hospital and for all those who have assisted in different ways. We also remember all those who have served in this hospital, but are no more, that God may grant them eternal rest.
We pray God that the future blessings be greater than the past, and may He continue to bless the doctors, the nurses, and our benefactors and benefactresses.
For all the sick here, we also remember them, because without the sick, there won’t be any hospital.
May God give them divine healing, and may they, through the instrumentality of our doctors and nurses, get their healing, through Christ our Lord.
In the meantime, the CEO, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Izunna Okonkwo, the CEO, chairman and president of the Management team of St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital, has called on the government, and philanthropists to always see the need to assist healthcare providers in their effort to render quality, accessible, and affordable health services to their patients. He opined that “we are part of Anambra State, so it is a good thing if the state government considers it necessary to assisting us in meeting up with our financial responsibilities”
The CEO Rev. Fr. Izunna however eulogies the former governor of Anambra State and the presidential candidate of the labour party in the 2023 presidential election, Mr. Peter for helping the hospital, in his days as the governor of Anambra State.
