Nri community in Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State was filled with joy as Mr. Solumdi Ibegbunam marked his mother’s birthday in an extraordinary way.
Mr. Ibegbunam, an indigene of Nri and owner of E.V Miracle Baker Coy., Abuja, chose to extend the celebration beyond his family circle by remembering widows in his hometown. He distributed cash as birthday cake and tokens of love to them, turning the private family event into a community celebration.
Speaking on his motivation, Mr. Ibegbunam said the act was his way of giving life more meaning by sharing happiness with others. “Celebrating with people around us makes joy complete. It’s like inviting neighbors to join in our special moments,” he remarked.
The gesture was warmly received, as many of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for being remembered. For them, the act went beyond cake — it was a reminder that they are valued members of the community.
