JONAPWD Hails Gov. Mbah For Inaugurating Enugu State Disability Commission

The Joint National Association of Persons With Disabilities (JONAPWD), Enugu State Chapter, has commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for inaugurating the Enugu State Disability Commission, describing it as a fulfillment of his promise to the disability community.

The inauguration, conducted by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, marks what JONAPWD calls a “major milestone in institutionalising disability inclusion” in the state.

JONAPWD praised the Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Ngozi Enih, for championing disability rights and driving advocacy within government. The association also acknowledged the support of civil society groups, media partners, and disability-focused organizations.

It congratulated the newly appointed Chairman, Mr. Jude Eze, Secretary Barr. Juliet Nkiru Okonkwo, and members of the board, urging them to work collaboratively to advance inclusive development.
