A businessman and public affairs analyst, Deacon John William, has commended Governor Peter Mbah, on his second year anniversary in office, saying he has performed well particularly in road infrastructure.
In an interview with our reporter in Enugu, Deacon William, said one of the hallmark achievements of Governor Mbah’s administration is the completion of abandoned projects.
He said: “Governor Mbah’s tenure has been characterised by a profound commitment to addressing the socio-economic challenges that have long hindered progress, noting that his visionary policies and initiatives have yielded tangible results.
Williams lauded the governor for what it described as commendable strides in security especially the launch of a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, and deploying 150 AI-enabled security patrol vehicles, urging him to improve.
“For instance, there are skirmishes of unrest along Ugwuogo-Nike-Nsukka road, Uzo-Uwani and Igbo-Etiti areas, something should be done to check the situation.”he added.
He also commended the Governor for what he described as drastic improvement in the provision of water supply to Enugu metropolis as he promised during the campaigns, but urged him to extend it to areas yet to benefit.
“For instance, most of the housing estates that belong to the Enugu State Housing Development Corporation do not have pipe-borne water. For instance, WTC estate, there’s no pipe-borne water there, so the government should try as much as possible to extend pipe-borne water to those areas and some other areas in Enugu.”he said.
