Delta State Governor, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, has dismissed the Commissioner for Information, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza, from his position. The reasons behind his removal have not been officially disclosed.

The Director General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communication, Dr. Fred Latimor Oghenesivbe, confirmed that Osuoza had already been informed of the development. Governor Oborevwori has reportedly directed the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), Charles Aniagwu, to temporarily oversee the Ministry of Information.

An official announcement is expected from the Governor, but Oghenesivbe noted that Aniagwu would manage both ministries for the time being. Aniagwu is expected to assume duties in his dual role starting Monday.

Sources indicate that Osuoza’s dismissal may be linked to multiple complaints of alleged incompetence. Aniagwu, a seasoned media professional, previously served as Chief Press Secretary and Commissioner for Information during former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration.
