Firm Rewards Fearless Vigilante Who Rescued 13-year-old Girl From Enugu Ritualist

An Enugu based Media firm, Aneke Television, an online television, has rewarded the Chief Security Officer (CSO), Mr John Okeke, who led operation leading to the rescue of the abducted 13-year-old girl at Isiagu Umumba community in Ezeagu Local Government Area with a brand new phone.

The online media house was founded by Chief Paschal Onyeka Aneke, to contribute to the media need of the society.

Recalled that through Okeke, the Isiagu Umumba’s native doctor and ritualist, Levi Obieze known as either “Ezeani” or “E-Dey-Play-E-Dey-Show,” was exposed and discovery of dead bodies in pits sealed with concrete in his compound was made.

Also the 13-year-old victim, Ukamaka Okonkw whose abduction led to his exposure was rescued.

Presenting the item, Aneke who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Aneke TV, said the gesture was the organisation’s little way of thanking and encouraging Okeke whose effort and insistence led to the rescue of the victim.

Aneke, represented by the Manager of the TV station, Chibuike Fredrick, expressed gratitude that the CSO did not accept the offer of N10 million given to him by Obieze.

“We travelled all the way from Enugu to Ezeagu Council Area to see you and present this token to you. Use this phone to call necessary stakeholders when you notice or see any strange movement within this community.

“Aneke TV is overwhelmed with your act of honesty and bravery. I wish other members of the community will emulate you,” Aneke said.

Responding, John Okeke commended the organisation for remembering him, saying it was the first time he received a gift since the incident.

He pledged to do more in securing the community and its environs.

“My God bless and reward Chief Paschal Aneke and Aneke TV family,” he prayed.
