As preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections gather momentum, the Enugu State Unity Forum (EUF), a political support group, has pledged to embark on massive grassroots sensitization and mobilization across the Enugu East Senatorial Zone to ensure the seamless re-election of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
Speaking during the inauguration of the Enugu East Zonal Chapter of the forum held at the Enugu East Local Government Secretariat, Nkwo-Nike, the Zonal Coordinator, Dr. Chukwuemeka Nwatu, said the group’s mission is anchored on promoting and sustaining public awareness of Governor Mbah’s good governance and transformational achievements across the state.
According to him, the forum is a self-motivated, organic movement made up of individuals who are genuinely impressed by the governor’s performance and vision for the future.
“We are not doing this because of political appointments or government patronage,” Nwatu said. “We are doing it because we believe in the governor’s vision. What Dr. Peter Mbah is doing today is for us, our children, and generations yet unborn. His second term should be by merit, the evidence of his work speaks for itself in all 260 wards of Enugu State.”
He explained that the newly inaugurated executive members would embark on door-to-door sensitization in communities, villages, and polling units, highlighting the governor’s developmental strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and rural transformation.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Enugu East Local Government Area, Pastor Beloved-Dan Anike, described Governor Mbah as a visionary leader and a unifying force in Enugu politics, deserving of another term in office.
“Dr. Peter Mbah is a man nurtured for this moment — a leader working tirelessly to unite Enugu people and transform the state from the grassroots to the top,” Anike said. “He listens to the people, understands their needs, and delivers results. No governor in recent times has toured all wards in the state as he did, ensuring inclusive governance.”
Pastor Anike further noted that Governor Mbah embodies both peace and development, the twin pillars of progress, adding that his leadership has brought stability, infrastructural growth, and renewed confidence in governance.
The event attracted stakeholders, community leaders, and party supporters who pledged their commitment to the governor’s vision and assured that the message of his achievements would resonate across every ward ahead of 2027.
