The Executive Chairman of Enugu South Local Government Area, Hon. Caleb Ani, has sworn in the newly appointed supervisory councillors and special aides to oversee some sectors within the council.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the council’s chamber.
In his address, Hon. Ani noted that the event marked a crucial step in his administration’s efforts to enhance governance and development in the council area.
He expressed gratitude to the Leader of the Legislative Assembly, Rt. Hon. John Egbo, and the councillors for meticulously screening the nominees, urging them to approach their roles with dedication, transparency, and accountability.
He noted that the rigorous screening was to ensure that only the best were appointed to assist him drive his agenda for the local government.
The LG boss also emphasized that the inclusion of the new appointees would strengthen his administration’s drive to bring good governance to the people.
He expressed delight in the new appointees to deploy their expertise in ensuring timely and successful completion of various development projects initiated by his administration, reiterating his commitment to effective governance and community development.
The newly sworn-in supervisory councilors and their portfolios are Mr. Ifeanyi Ngene (Works and finance), Hon. Barr. Francis Ani (Health), Hon. Oguejiofor Nnamani (Education), and Mr. Uchechukwu Nwankwu (Agriculture).
The appointed special aides include Hon. Chijioke Agbo (SPA Political) Mr. Ifeanyi Igwe (SPA Special Duties) Hon. Peter Agbo (SPA Contact, Mobilization, and Protocol) Ozo Oforbuike Edeh (Chief of Staff), and Rev. Chinonso Agbo (SPA Religious Matters). Oath of office and allegiance was administer by Hon. Barr. Chika Ogbe, the attorney of the council.

Speaking on behalf of the appointees, Hon. Chijioke Agbo, expressed gratitude to the Chairman for the opportunity given to them to serve. He assured him of their dedication to the council’s development and pledged to work hard fulfill their responsibilities.

The event was attended by the principal officers of the council, councillors, stakeholders and party faithful.
