Enugu Police React To Alleged Payment Directive For Women Police Anniversary

Enugu State Police Command has refuted reports that female officers were required to make payments for the 70th Nigeria Women Police Anniversary celebration.

The denial followed a media publication alleging that officers were instructed to contribute funds.

The Command described the claim as “false, baseless, and without any iota of truth,” stressing that no such directive was issued to any female officer.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police in the State, Mamman Bitrus Giwa, has ordered the State Intelligence Department to investigate the circulation of the purported message and urged any affected officers to come forward.

SP Daniel Ndukwe, the state Police Public Relations Officer, urged the public to disregard the report.
