The Enugu State Government will on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, host a stakeholders’ Town Hall Meeting to advance its Digital Land Transformation Programme.

The event is part of the state’s effort to modernise land administration, enhance transparency, and safeguard the rights of landowners.

The meeting, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at The Dome Hall, Enugu International Conference Centre, will provide participants with updates on land ownership processes, revalidation procedures, approved layouts, and the full operation of the state’s digital land system.

In a statement, Dr. Malachy Agbo, the Commissioner for Information and Communication, said the forum would offer citizens the opportunity to seek direct clarifications from government officials, witness live demonstrations of the digital land system, and verify compliance requirements.

“The Digital Land Transformation Programme is designed to protect assets, prevent land fraud, and ensure secure, digitally documented land records for all legitimate owners,” Dr. Agbo said.

Who Should Attend

The Town Hall is open to a wide range of stakeholders, including: individual landowners, families, estate developers, surveyors, property lawyers, community leaders, professional bodies, financial institutions, media organisations, civil society groups, religious organisations, and academic institutions.

Special On-Site Services

Participants will have access to service points for the verification, documentation, and digital conversion of land records. Attendees are advised to bring copies of their land documents and arrive at least one hour before the meeting.

Dr. Agbo urged all citizens to take advantage of the opportunity, describing it as a critical step in securing land assets and investments for future generations under Governor Peter Mbah’s “Tomorrow Is Here” agenda.
