In a landmark move to deepen youth engagement in agriculture, the Enugu State Young Farmers Association (ENSYFA) has sealed a partnership deal with Gooddis Nation International.
The high-profile meeting, held on March 7, 2025, in Enugu State, saw an impressive turnout of young people from across the South East zone, converging to witness the birth of a new era in agribusiness collaboration.
Leading the charge was ENSYFA President, Kenneth Eze, who, alongside the enthusiastic youth delegation, met with the Enugu State Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization, Hon. Patrick Nwabueze Ubru.
The Commissioner was ably represented by the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Victor Ngwu, who warmly received the delegation and commended their efforts in revolutionizing youth participation in agriculture.
A Vision to Empower Youth and Boost the Economy
In his address, Kenneth Eze, emphasized the critical role of young farmers in shaping the future of agriculture in Enugu State.
He reiterated that ENSYFA’s vision aligned with Governor Barr. Dr. Peter Mbah’s ambitious goal of expanding the state’s GDP from $4.4 billion to $30 billion, with ENSYFA aiming to contribute a substantial $1.6 billion to this economic growth trajectory.
“Our mission is clear—to mobilize more young people into agriculture, creating wealth, ensuring food security, and drastically reducing poverty and hunger. This partnership with Gooddis Nation International is another step towards making farming not just a necessity but a lucrative and attractive venture for our youths,” Eze stated.

Gooddis Nation International Commits to Agricultural Development
Speaking on behalf of Gooddis Nation International, CEO Mr. Goodness Echem, expressed his excitement about the collaboration.
He acknowledged Enugu State’s warm reception of his organization and commended ENSYFA’s tireless efforts in making agriculture appealing to young people.

We are fully committed to working with ENSYFA and the Ministry to bring innovative solutions that will make farming easier and more rewarding for young people,” Echem affirmed.
Government Endorsement and Support for the Partnership
Responding to the partnership proposal, Permanent Secretary, Mr. Victor Ngwu, assured ENSYFA and Gooddis Nation International of the government’s unwavering support.
He acknowledged ENSYFA’s significant contributions to agricultural development in Enugu, particularly in empowering young farmers.
“You are in good hands. The Ministry recognizes ENSYFA as a formidable force in advancing youth-driven agriculture in the state. Kenneth Eze and his team have been instrumental in assisting us to ensure agriculture thrives, especially among the younger population,” Ngwu noted.
He further assured Gooddis Nation International that the Ministry would support their requests for land acquisition and farm inputs, reinforcing the government’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for agribusiness investments.

A New Dawn for Youth-Driven Agriculture
