In case you are just waking up from coma or just coming online, and you are seeing discussions on Professor Chukwuma Soludo, Mrs Nonye Soludo and Senator Uche Ekwunife.
Here is a rundown of how the matter started and how we got to this point:
1. Professor Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra state embarked on campaigns ahead of the November 8 governorship election and took the mic to campaign against the opposition candidates, however, instead of stating what he has done to deserve re-election, he began to vilify and abuse the opposition candidates.
2. Soludo began with the APC Candidate, Nicholas Ukachukwu, describing him as an illiterate. He said that Mr Ukachukwu should be driving heavy trucks and not seek to become Governor. That his WAEC results are poor and he cannot calculate Anambra’s money.
3. From there, Prof Soludo moved to Sir Paul Chukwuma and said that he is just creating awareness and not running for Governor. He visited Umueri, Paul Chukwuma’s hometown to tell them that their son is not a serious candidate in the election.
4. From Mr Paul Chukwuma, the Professor’s raging tongue landed on the bus stop of the APC Deputy Governorship Candidate, Senator Uche Ekwunife. He described her PhD certificate as fake, attempting to assassinate her character in the process.
5. Unlike, Paul Chukwuma and Nicholas Ukachukwu, Senator Ekwunife perhaps being a woman, did not take the Professor’s allegations and abuses lightly. She set ring light, put on her popular custom made, special sun-shade glasses and in a now viral video challenged the Professor to go to court and prove that her certificate is fake. She berated the Professor for choosing to major on the minor and stated that Soludo’s government has failed Ndi Anambra.
6. Ekwunife accused the governor of supervising bloodletting, hunger and suffering since he emerged as governor of the state three years ago. She stated that under Soludo’s watch two young state house of assembly members died yet Soludo as the chief security officer of the state could not unravel the killings. She also said further things that I want to leave out of this narration. You may wish to watch the four (4) minute video to get the news in detail.
7. Governor Soludo’s media team in a bid to vilify Ekwunife released a private conversation with a voice they claimed to be that of Senator Ekwunife and another party. But unknown to them, a part of the conversation contained statements that the Governor’s wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo “worked” with the former Governor of Anambra state, Dr Chinwoke Mbadinuju. The audio also revealed some things about Soludo’s wife that may be considered damaging.
8. In response, the Media Aide to the Governor’s Wife made a press release stating that the Governor’s Wife never “worked” with Mbadinuju, saying that she was into Real Estate and Agriculture during the time.
9. Mrs Nonye Soludo through her official Facebook handle denied the Press Release made by her Aide. She stated that she will not dignify Senator Ekwunife with a response.
10. These were Mrs Nonye Soludo’s words: “My attention has just been drawn to a post going round that Mrs Soludo replied Ekwunife. Not at all! I am too busy with my children as schools resume. Besides, I can’t condescend to replying inanities and fabrications. An Igbo adage says that you don’t exchange words with a madman, otherwise the passersby will not know the difference.
11. However, surprisingly, this morning, Ndi Anambra woke up to a 973 worded epistle, entitled, UCHE EKWUNIFE HAS CROSSED THE RED LINE…By Nonye Frances Soludo. It appeared that the once busy first lady has now created time to exchange words with a “madman”.
12. The content of the publication has to do with virginity, chastity, blessed sacrament, DNA, and so on and so forth.
Umunnem Ndi Anambra. Na the matter we dey argue since morning!
