The Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Uche Ekwunife, CON, today paid a solemn condolence visit to the family of the late Ifesinachi Onyekere, popularly known as Fish Magnet,a vibrant young entrepreneur and social media influencer from Anambra State, renowned for his pioneering work in catfish farming, processing, and marketing.
Ifesinachi was tragically abducted and later murdered in a senseless act of violence that has plunged his family and the wider community into grief.
Visiting the bereaved family at their residence in Okpuno, Awka South LGA, Senator Ekwunife signed the condolence register and conveyed her heartfelt sympathies. She described the loss as deeply painful and urged the family to draw strength from God, even in the midst of such unbearable sorrow.

Speaking on the security lapses that led to the tragedy, Ekwunife noted that a proactive and well-coordinated neighborhood watch could have helped prevent the abduction. She called on security agencies to redouble their efforts in tackling insecurity and ensure that criminal elements are swiftly brought to justice.
The deceased’s mother, who serves as the State Women Leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), expressed gratitude to Senator Ekwunife and her entourage for the visit and for the comforting words. Ekwunife also offered prayers for the peaceful repose of Ifesinachi’s soul.
